What we publish, what we won't, and what we expect from musicians who submit a session.

What Mediaplay publishes

We publish live music sessions — performances recorded in one take, in real rooms, by real performers. The daily ranking is curated by ear by the Limassol team. We favour live, unpolished performance over heavily produced clips.

Prohibited content

• Content you don't have the rights to, including unlicensed use of others' compositions, recordings or performances.
• Hateful, harassing, or violent material, or content that targets protected groups.
• Sexually explicit material or content involving minors in any unsafe context.
• Illegal content, or content that promotes serious harm.
• Misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent material.

Music-licensing clearance for submissions

If you submit a session, you must hold all necessary rights and clearances: the composition (songwriting/publishing), the recording, and every performer's permission. Cover versions require the appropriate mechanical or sync clearances. By submitting, you confirm you can grant us the right to review and, if selected, stream the session. We may ask for evidence of clearance, and we'll remove anything we can't verify.

AI disclosure

Mediaplay is built around real, human, live performance. If a submitted session uses AI-generated or substantially AI-assisted audio or video, you must disclose this clearly when you submit it. Undisclosed AI-generated material misrepresented as a live human performance is not permitted and will be removed.

Reporting & enforcement

To report content that breaches this policy, email [email protected]. Copyright complaints go to [email protected] — see our DMCA page. We may remove content and restrict accounts that repeatedly break these rules.
